Given the patient's ethnic origin and the findings (intraventricular conduction disorder, multifocal ventricular ectopics, nonsustained ventricular tachycardias, and an inferoposterior aneurysm), Chagas heart disease was suspected; serology was positive. Coronary angiography was performed, showing no lesions of the epicardial arteries. No sustained ventricular tachycardias were induced on electrophysiological study.
