In the article by Catalán-Sanz entitled “Comments on Exercise Echocardiography and Multidetector Computed Tomography for the Evaluation of Acute Chest Pain”, published in Rev Esp Cardiol. 2015;68:164-5, a clarification has been introduced in the last paragraph.

The new paragraph is: The major scientific societies currently accept the high diagnostic value of both techniques and their complementary nature, particularly in non-diagnostic MDCT studies, which could benefit from the stress test to indirectly assess the functional repercussion of intermediate severity or flow-limiting stenosis, just as invasive coronary angiography (the “theoretical” gold standard technique) sometimes needs the help of pressure guides to directly evaluate the functional severity of intermediate coronary stenosis.

These corrections were made in the electronic version of the article on 25 May 2015.
